Mrs Kimberley Flood is a well-regarded qualified Registered Nurse experienced in all aspects of general medical, surgical and critical care nursing.
She has special expertise working in emergency, intensive care and high dependency units. Further, she is skilled in the recognition and treatment of the deteriorating patient. Mrs Flood has provided nursing services in the public hospital sector.
Mrs Flood currently works as Associate Nurse Unit Manager providing highly specialised clinical care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit at North East Health, Wangaratta. Additionally, she is a Legal Nurse Consultant in private practice offering services in health care related cases involving a personal injury component.
With graduate qualifications in Critical Care from the Australian College of Nursing, Mrs Flood went on to complete a Master of Nurse Education at Edith Cowan University. She has held appointments as Clinical Nurse Consultant Critical Care and Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Manager at the Far West Local Health District. Mrs Flood has also worked in clinical governance and management roles.
Mrs Flood has served on several Committees for the Agency for Clinical Innovation, NSW Health. She has been involved in major projects, including Redesign of Serious Clinical Incident Notification Model, Far West Local Health District, and the Intensive Care Service Model Level 4, Broken Hill Health Service.
